What are Elements?

Elements are specific areas within each broad themes defined within the inFeedo Employee Experience(EX) framework which we call Drivers. Elements aim to give deeper insights on well is the organization doing on specific areas of employee satisfaction and happiness. The Employee Experience (EX) framework is created based on both primary and secondary research including inputs from subject matter experts, CHROs, HRBPs, and ethnomethodological research.

The EX Framework identifies 57 elements (associated with 7 key drivers) that provide a comprehensive measure of experience at every touchpoint & stage in an employee’s tenure.

Why Does Element Summary Matter?

The Element Summary metric gives you a snapshot of specific aspects of the engagement in addition to insights at the driver level. This helps you identify Elements within each Driver that are working well and those that need improvement, aligning your attention on appropriate areas.

What information is available in the Driver Summary slide?

1. Title of the Report

The title of the report gives you essential information such as the data source the report is generated from, the metric which is present on the slide, the type of data, and the time period in which the data is captured.

In the example mentioned above, Tenure is the data source, Element Summary is the metric presented on this slide, Chats Sent between is the criteria, and 01 May 2022 to 01 May 2023 is the time period.

The content is subject to change based on the configurations selected at the time of report generation.

💡 Note:

  1. There can be multiple permutations and combinations for the title of the slide from the three data sources (Tenure, Pulse, and Exit) and from the various metrics on the Dashboard.

  2. Multiple slides can also have the same title but with varying data depending on how the individual slides are configured at the time of report generation

2. Element Score Distribution

The Element Score Distribution section provides information on the elements chosen for comparison as well as the threshold applied (number of responses to questions tagged to elements).

In the example mentioned above, 6 elements are chosen, with atleast 1 answer as a threshold.

3. Columns in the slide

Elements

In this column, all the select elements will be listed.

Respondents

Respondents here refer to the people who have answered one or more questions tagged to the elements during the reporting period.

Questions

Questions here refer to the number of unique questions tagged to the specific element that was answered by the respondents during the reporting period (irrespective of the language in which the question was answered).

Answers

Answers here refer to the number of answers given to questions tagged to the specific element by the respondents during the reporting period.

The number in the brackets represents the % answers received for this element considering all selected elements. It is computed as

% answers for an element = Count of answers for this element / count of answers for all selected elements

Score

Score refers to the Element Score for the specific element, and is calculated as follows:

Score = sum of responses (1,2,3,4,5) to questions tagged to the specific element / Number of questions responded to tagged to that element.

  • For this calculation, we consider responses to questions from completed and dropped chats.

  • Responses to follow up questions will NOT be included

Delta

The Delta column here refers to the Past Period Comparison, which allows you to compare the Element Score of the current period to that of the previous period to understand the difference.

Element score calculation for the past period follows the same calculation formula stated below:

📌 Past Period Comparison only applies to Tenure

Delta (as %) = (Element score of the current period - Element score of the past period) / Element Score of the past period.

A positive number is indicated with a green triangle, while a negative number is indicated using a red triangle.

Two types of past-period comparisons can be configured:

  • Comparison with the immediately preceding period: This considers the same timespan before the current reporting period. If the current period is for 1 quarter, 1 month, or 43 days, the past period will also consider the same time frame ending just before the current period starts.

  • Comparison with the same date and month, but in the previous year: Similar to the above option, we consider the same span of time, but one year ago (irrespective of how long the period is).

Element Sentiment Distribution

Element Sentiment Distribution helps understand the breakdown or distribution of answers based on sentiments such as positive, neutral, and negative for each element (as a percentage of total answers received for the driver)

  • Positive Sentiment (as %) = Number of positive responses (4,5) to a element-based question / Total number of answers to the element-based question.

  • Neutral Sentiment (as %) = Number of Neutral responses (3) to a element-based question / Total number of answers to the element-based question.

  • Negative Sentiment (as %) = Number of Negative responses (1,2) to a element-based question / Total number of answers to the element-based question.

4. Display Layout

The slide can be summarised by categorising data either as 'Top vs Bottom' performing elements or as a list.

Top vs Bottom

Selecting the 'Top vs Bottom' view shows comparisons between the top-performing elements and the least-performing elements within the chosen set.

A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 50 elements can be displayed in the ‘Top vs Bottom’ view. This can be configured at the time of report creation.

💡 If there are fewer than or equal to 2 elements in Top or Bottom views, the 'Top vs Bottom' view automatically changes to a 'list view'.

📌 The thresholds for classifying elements as Top or Bottom is configurable. Please contact your Amber SPOC.

List View

Selecting the ‘List View’ shows all the entities within the demographic as a List as shown in the image below.

A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 100 elements can be displayed as a List. This can be configured at the time of report creation.

💡 The ‘List View’ can be sorted by:

(i) Engagement Score: High → Low or Low → High

(ii) Volume of chats: High → Low or Low → High

(iii) Demographic Values: a→z or z→a

AI Summary in Report Studio

The Element Summary slide now features AI Summary, which offers valuable insights when configured with the "Top vs Bottom" view. The AI Summary provides chat based data, detailing what's going well and what needs improvement along with actionable next steps for Top and Bottom scoring elements.

AI Summary is available only for the Element Summary slide for Tenure and Non-Anonymous Pulses.

Why does AI Summary in Report Studio Matter?

Report Studio predominantly has been showing quantitative insights on its slides. Now, admins will also be able to view crucial qualitative insights from real chat answers of the employees.

Along with the scores, metrics and trends - now understand the WHY behind those numbers. Using the insights from real chat data of employees and AI suggested actionable steps - get better equipped with information about employee opinions and issues.

How does the feature work?

  1. This AI feature should be enabled for your dashboard. Contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or reach out to us at help@infeedo.com.

  2. The dashboard admin should have Chat access for them to use the AI Summary feature on Report Studio.

  3. The AI Summary slide gets added to the existing Elements Summary slide which can be configured using the “Create from scratch” option, or while using a pre-configured template.

  4. The AI Summary will only be available if Top v Bottom view is selected for the Elements Summary slide. A minimum of 5 answers should be present for each element for its AI Summary to be generated.

  5. After choosing the AI Summary option - the Elements summary slide can only have a maximum of 5 Top v Bottom elements.

  6. Top v Bottom elements are NOT identified using the percentage of positive or negative responses, but the absolute count of people who responded positively or negatively.

  7. AI Summary for each element will be generated using the most recent upto 1200 answers tagged to that element

  8. This feature is only available for Tenure and Non-Anonymous Pulses.
